Congratulations to our Galt FC Galt United 00 U10 Boys.  As a Silver Division team, Galt United competed in the Manteca Spring Invitational April 9th and 10th.  This was a Gold Division tournament, however hosted several Premier and State Cup Champions.  As the underdogs, the Galt United boys tied their first game and won their next two games.  They earned the position and played in the championship game, where they were finally defeated but earned a Second Place finish.  Great job boys!


On Sept 24th-25th, Galt FC Aces U11 girls competed in the Stockton Triad Tournament. The girls went into this tournament wanting to build on their last tournament and they opened up strong. They beat the Manteca Rangers 2-0 in a close battle. It was a 1-0 game at halftime and the girls held off Manteca and put it away with a goal in the final minutes to close out the victory. Then they received a 1-0 forfeit victory due to a team dropping out of the tournament.



Galt United won its first tournament as a US Club soccer team at the Stockton Explosion tournament the weekend of July 16-17. The tournament was held at the San Joaquin CountySports Complex in south Stockton and included teams from the inner east bay ( Hayward , Castro Valley, and Danville ). Galt United came into the tournament as an under-15 age group, having picked up several new boys for the team, while keeping half the team from last year's very successful under-14 team.
The team wishes to thank the tournament hosts, the Twin Rivers Soccer Academy , the Castro Valley United team for a great game, the boy's parents, and especially the community of Galt, which has supported our fundraising efforts over the last few months.


In their second tournament of the season, Galt FC Heat United U14 girls soccer team shut out every opponent to clinch the championship in the 15th Annual Bob Fowler Memorial Soccer Tournament in Concord on Sept 24th-25th.
In game one, Galt FC Heat United played MDSA U14 Elite, winning 5 to 0, with goals scored by Jessica Hartwell and Cierra Moreno. One of Jessica’s goals was provided by a beautiful assist from Ashley Bauldry, and Cierra’s goal was scored off of a well placed penalty kick!
In game two, Galt FC Heat United defeated Albany Berkeley Speedy Cheetah 7 to 0 with goals scored by Brianna Morgan Zamora, Cierra Moreno, Savannah Porter, Jessica Hartwell and Nina Airoso with an amazing header.
In game three on Sunday morning, Galt FC Heat United faced some great competition against Folsom SC Attack, coming out on top with a win of 1 to 0. Rita Santoyo provided an outstanding assist to Jessica Hartwell who laid out a nice header.
In the championship game, Galt FC Heat United goes against another great team, Danville Mustang Stampede. Jessica Hartwell scores the single goal.
Always in control with great communication, and reading the field are Rhea Hartwell, Nina Airoso, Rita Santoyo, Alyssa Pineda, Kayla Sharpnack, Autumn Siverling, Sarah Stotts, Jordann Vigna and Savannah Porter along with the goalkeepers Brooklin Greene and Jenna Stiehr remained solid throughout the weekend allowing the Galt FC Heat United girls to secure all four shut outs!
A special thank you goes out to coaches Daniel Moreno and Jason Vigna. They have really worked hard with each and every player to get the team to this level. Their dedication to these girls truly reflects in the players’ skill and attitude!
This season has been dedicated to Shannon Raymond (Inspired by Shannon), who was always there supporting our team on and off the field… this one’s for you Shannon!!

Galt Heat United Champions

With the weather in full cooperation, Galt FC Heat United took the Championship at the Skunk II Spookfest tournament in Fort Bragg, CA over Halloween weekend... as well as placing third in the costume contest!

Galt FC Aces U12 Girls Competed in the Fair Oaks Select Cup on Aug 13th-14th. They opened against the Nor Cal Elite and beat them 5-0. The girls went into their toughest game against the eventual Champions, the Roseville Zoom. The girls played a tough game but were defeated 0-4.
The girls rebounded on day two and beat the Fair Oaks Galaxy 3-0 to set up a 2nd place game with the RC Cheetahs. It was a great match up and the girls struck first with a goal in the first 5 minutes to set the tone. They added another goal before the half to take a 2-0 lead into the 2nd half. The Cheetahs scored in the beginning of the 2nd half to make it 2-1, where it stayed until the girls scored on a set play from the corner with 8 minutes left in the game. This took the girls to a 3-1 lead. Then the girls fought off a strong push from the RC Cheetahs to close out the game and take 2nd place in the tournament. Great Job Ladies.

Congratulations Again, to our Galt FC Galt United 00 U10 Boys. Galt United competed in the Tracy Orange Bowl on May 28th - 30th. They competed at the Gold Division in the tournament. Their first game the boys posted a solid 5-0 shut out against AVYSL Mercury Black. The second day, the backed it up with an impressive 8-0 shut out over the Fresno Legends and a 5-0 shut out over the Napa Sport. The boys finished first in their bracket, earning them a position in the championship game. The boys defeated the Modesto Ajax Elite in a 1-0 shut out, earning a First Place finish. The boys did not allow any goals to be scored on them, throughout the entire tournament. Congratulations and Great job boys.

In their final tournament of the season, Galt Heat walks away as Champions of the CVU Thanksgiving Classic on Nov 26th & 27th, at Cherry Island Sports Complex.
